Mastodon Updates

There were a couple of smaller patches this month, v4.7.1 and v4.7.2, containing behind the scenes and security fixes.

Nobody has complained to me about this yet, but v4.7.2 has temporarily disabled the uploading of HEIF images (I believe due to a HEIF related security exploit), so that might be something to be aware of if you are trying to upload HEIF files directly.

The End Of The Forkiverse

I’ll be honest, I don’t really know what a Forkiverse is, but I have heard that it will be coming to an end shortly. We’ve had quite a few users migrating over to sunny.garden as a result and they seem like a fine bunch of folks, so welcome to the garden!
