Late Update
This review post is coming out later than usual this month as I have been very busy with family for the past few weeks, sorry about that!
Mastodon Updates
An important update to Mastodon was released this month v4.5, bringing the long anticipated arrival of Quote Toots (or Quote Posts if you’re boring), as well as automatic reply fetching, periodically gathering the replies to posts from other servers to fill in threads, allowing more people to see more of the conversation more easily.
There were also two patch releases, mainly focusing on bug fixes, v4.5.1 and v4.5.2
Mastodon Project Leadership Changes
Mastodon founder Eugen Rochko aka. Gargron announced that he would be stepping down as CEO of the Mastodon organization, with more details about the new leadership team included in a blog post from Mastodon. A few of those team members posted their own updates including the new Executive Director, Felix Hlatky, and the new Community Director, Hannah Aubry.
