Summary
No news is good news, on the Fediverse front at least.
Mastodon was upgraded to version v4.2.1 which brings a handful of minor bug fixes.
Active users and overall activity level have been staying relatively level.
Hosting Costs
One of the changes in the v4.2.0 release of Mastodon back in September was an increase in the maximum upload size limits for images and media, and this has been reflected in a slight increase in media storage costs.
Server bandwidth overall has increased by around 20-30%, but this isn’t currently impacting costs significantly.
