In Review, December '22
Summary
December was much quieter after the big influx in November and removing the listing from joinmastodon.org.
It was particularly quiet around the holiday season as everyone was busy with holiday things, but I also noticed an increase in people returning to use their accounts that they had registered earlier in the year but hadn’t yet gotten around to really trying out, so welcome back to all those folks!

Canadian Dollars
The Test Server was mainly used for testing upgrades and configuration changes during the influx in November. Now that things have calmed down a lot, and I’m a bit more comfortable in managing the server, its usefulness has decreased. I deleted that server at the end of December and it won’t be a running cost going forward. I may still spin up test servers temporarily as needed in the future if I’m going to be making risky changes, I just won’t leave them running once their purpose has been fulfilled.
